<image:caption>Programs & Development Director Rodney DuPlessis is a Canadian composer and programmer exploring intersections of science, nature, technology, and music. In his work, he studies processes and patterns from natural and human-made systems to extract latent musicality and visceral sonic narratives. His process incorporates algorithmic and intuitive methods, field recording, software development, sonification, visualization, and microtonality. His creative output includes electroacoustic and chamber music, museum installations, live electronics performances, network music collaborations, and software for sound processing and synthesis. Rodney has collaborated with scientists, musicians, and engineers. Covering styles from ballet to hip hop, Olenka has tried (not mastered) a wide range of movement techniques. She is most comfortable in the style of modern. Olenka’s ideal day consists of a magical sunset improvisation jam on the beach, followed by a relaxing candlelit jacuzzi session (or even better, natural hot springs pool) while stumbling upon an avant garde musician on her Spotify playlists. <image:caption>My voice is of and with my body. I am a singer, and I am song itself. Singer, composer and performer Aine E Nakamura was born in Pacific Northwest and grew up there and in Japan. Her artistic development has meant for her search of language for self, which cannot be told simply through one disciplinary or cultural frame, while moving closer to her transnational woman artist identity. In Life of A Flower-War and lullaby, she performed as a flower, which lived during a war time, from a sprout to the end of the blooming, through her improvised vocal sounds, melody, and body movements. She has presented acoustic compositions, mixed music, fixed music, installations, and improvisation, performing by herself and with other musicians, actors, and dancers. Her involvement in experimental theatre and learning from Butoh have also impacted her performance grammar. www.evaaine.com</image:caption>

She has and continues to create work about grief and loss on a personal and planetary scale, and hopes that art can help her form an understanding of herself and others in the face of tragedy. <image:caption>EQ Touchup in Adobe Audition In many cases, listening with earbuds or laptop speakers doesn't allow one to hear certain audio issues. In this case, there was some very high pitched material in one of Yunfei's rough mixes. These are shown by the prominent orange horizontal lines between 10k and 12k in the frequency plot. In some cases (such as noise music), this might have been intentional program content, but in this case these artifacts would be too piercing and distract from the piece, so they were removed with EQ.</image:caption>
