“Expedition: Abandoned Mall” is a short film exploring a setting with an alien familiarity. What happens when we leave mannequins behind? How long until an escalator stops ascending and descending?  Lascher and Jarema were inspired by abandoned malls, liminal spaces, and cosmic horror to create an audio/visual work. Through a process of recording, drawing, storytelling, and mixing, Lascher and Jarema have gotten a glimpse behind doors that could never remain closed.
